The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established South Australian building contractor with a strong reputation for delivering quality commercial projects and building long-term relationships with its clients.

As part of the commercial division of a multi-disciplinary business, the company offers the stability and resources of an established organisation while maintaining a collaborative, close-knit culture.

With a strong pipeline of projects across commercial construction, fit-outs and private education, they are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager from a general commercial construction background who is looking to work on quality projects and potentially develop their experience within the private education sector.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of commercial new build and fit-out projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, consultants and site teams, maintaining a strong focus on programme, quality, safety and productivity.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing the day-to-day delivery of commercial projects valued between $5M–$15M
- Coordinating subcontractors, trades, suppliers and site personnel




- Driving programme, quality, safety and productivity across the site
- Working closely with Project Managers and consultants to ensure successful project delivery
- Monitoring project milestones and resolving in office issues
- Maintaining high standards of site presentation and construction quality
- Ensuring compliance with WHS requirements, building regulations and company standards
- Building strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and project teams

The Like Mind

You will be an experienced Site Manager who takes pride in delivering quality projects and creating a well-run, professional site environment.

You will bring:

- Proven experience delivering commercial construction projects, ideally in the $5M–$15M range
- Strong site leadership and subcontractor management skills
- A sound understanding of construction methodology and programming
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A strong commitment to quality, safety and programme
- A proactive, hands-on approach to project delivery
- The ability to build positive and productive relationships with subcontractors and project teams

Experience in private education projects would be advantageous, however isn't essential. More importantly, you will have the commercial construction experience, attitude and capability to successfully deliver complex projects and be motivated by the opportunity to broaden your experience.
