Job Overview
The Process Assembler is responsible for assembling, configuring and preparing products and components in accordance with established work instructions, quality standards and production schedules.
Working within the Supply Chain and Logistics team, the role supports the efficient and timely production of customer orders through safe work practices, attention to detail and adherence to assembly processes. The Process Assembler contributes to product quality, operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe and organised work workplace.
Responsibilities
•Assemble products and components in accordance with work instructions, specifications and production schedules.
•Follow all assembly procedures, quality standards and safe work practices.
•Conduct product inspections and basic functional testing to ensure quality requirements are met.
•Prepare completed products for packaging, storage and dispatch.
•Ensure accurate completion of production records, job sheets and inventory transactions.
•Identify and report product defects, quality concerns or process issues.
•Assist with inventory control activities, including stocktakes and stock handling.
•Maintain good housekeeping standards and an organised work area.
•Participate in continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives.
•Work collaboratively with Operations, Service and Warehouse teams to meet business objectives.
•Undertake other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.

•Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new assembly processes.

•Good communication and problem-solving skills.
•Basic computer literacy.
•Commitment to workplace health and safety.
•Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse or assembly environments is desirable.
Preferable
•Experience in a manufacturing, production or assembly environment.
•Experience using hand tools and basic assembly equipment.
•Hold forklift ticket (high reach)
•Completion of Year 12 or equivalent

Physical Demands:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to perform repetitive assembly and production tasks using hands and arms.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push and pull materials, components and finished products in accordance with safe work practices.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting and manual handling activities.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to assemble components accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to use hand tools, assembly equipment and testing devices safely and effectively.
• Sufficient visual acuity to inspect components, identify quality issues and complete detailed assembly work.
• Ability to wear and utilise required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Ability to perform the inherent requirements of the role while maintaining compliance with workplace health and safety standards.
Work Environment:
• Primarily based within a warehouse, workshop and production environment.
• Regular interaction with warehouse, operations, service and supply chain personnel.
• Frequent use of hand tools, assembly equipment and material handling equipment.
• Exposure to varying warehouse conditions, including noise, dust, machinery and fluctuating temperatures.
• Required to work in accordance with workplace health and safety policies, procedures and safe work practices.
• Required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by the tasks being performed.
• Work is performed in a fast-paced production environment with a focus on quality, process adherence, accuracy and meeting production schedules.
• May be required to assist in other operational areas and undertake reasonable duties in support of business requirements.
