The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Application Portfolio Specialist to simplify, optimize and rationalize a diverse application landscape.

Working closely with the Application Portfolio Manager, you'll take a hands-on role reviewing an setting of, 86 applications, identifying duplication, under-utilisation and unnecessary cost while helping shape the future application roadmap.

This role suits someone who can take ownership, challenge the status quo and turn analysis into practical recommendations rather than simply follow a predefined brief.

What You'll Do

- Review and rationalise the application portfolio, retain, consolidate, replace or retire.
- Analyse application cost, usage, licensing, business value and risk.
- Identify quick wins to reduce software spend and duplication.
- Improve software licence management, lifecycle processes and governance.
- Support application roadmapping and technology procurement decisions.
- Identify consolidation opportunities across Microsoft 365 and enterprise platforms.




- Influence stakeholders on application adoption, consolidation and retirement.
- Support broader transformation initiatives, including future ERP and application decommissioning programs.

What We're Looking For

Experience across Application Portfolio Management, Application Lifecycle Management, Software Asset Management or IT Governance, with demonstrated experience rationalising or consolidating application environments.

You'll be commercially minded, confident with stakeholders and able to work autonomously, analysing problems, recommending solutions and driving outcomes.

Experience with M365 optimisation, ERP transformation, software licensing, vendor management or Shadow IT will be highly regarded.

Success in the First 12 Months

- Establish an approved software catalogue and application lifecycle framework.
- Improve licence management and software spend optimisation.
- Deliver quick-win application rationalisation and consolidation opportunities.
- Reduce duplication through Microsoft platform optimisation.
- Improve visibility across the application landscape and Shadow IT.
