King Living
Turrella
Most planning roles are about maintaining a forecast. This one is about owning a category.
King Living designs its own furniture and manufactures it in its own facilities, then sells it through showrooms in nine countries. That makes our supply chain an unusual one — vertically integrated, multi-site, global and genuinely complex. Someone has to hold a clear view of it, category by category, and that is what this role is for.
You will lead the Demand Planning Meeting within our S&OP; cycle, challenge assumptions with trend analysis rather than deference, and own the three numbers everything is measured against — DIFOT, inventory and forecast accuracy.
You will also have real latitude. Forecast adjustments within tolerance, order placement within approved parameters, allocation calls when supply is tight, SLOB identification and escalation, and improvements to the planning tooling itself are all yours to make.
One more thing. If a task is repeatable, we would rather a machine did it. Bring the Power Query, the SQL, the Python if you have it — and spend your energy on the calls only a person can make.
What You Will Own
Demand Forecasting & S&OP;
Maintain a valid forecast at volume and gross sales level — consolidating S&OP; inputs, running trend analysis, and constructively challenging Commercial. Lead the Demand Planning Meeting for your categories.
Supply & Purchase Order Management
Work directly with global factories and third-party suppliers so product arrives on time and in full. Place purchase and supply orders in line with lead times to support the agreed supply plan.
KPI Ownership
Own and deliver DIFOT, inventory and forecast accuracy. Drive inventory reduction, including active management of slow-moving and obsolete stock before it becomes a write-off.
Planning & Systems
Plan at the right level of the product hierarchy on a regular basis, and help develop the systems the global planning network actually runs on.
New Product Development
Support NPD and EPD projects so supply readiness and lead time accuracy are built into launch planning from the start.
Continuous Improvement
Be the agent for better process. Use data-led analysis, redesign and automation to lift supply chain efficiency across the global network.
Who You Are
You will likely come from a demand and supply planning role in retail, furniture or a similarly complex multi-site global environment. What matters most is your analytical rigour, your ability to lead and influence an S&OP; process, and your appetite to use data and automation to work smarter.
- Minimum 5–7 years in demand and supply planning or similar, preferably retail or furniture
- Experience with vertically integrated, multi-site global manufacturing and import supply chains
- Proven ability to lead the S&OP; process for an assigned category, influencing and managing cross-functional meetings
- Strong analytical approach — you form independent conclusions from data, knowing stakeholder inputs may carry bias
- Proficient with Excel, Power BI including DAX, Power Query and SQL, plus hands-on ERP and demand planning systems such as SAP, Dynamics 365 or Netstock
- Experience working alongside AI assistants and automation tools, with a real appetite to automate routine planning and reporting
- Strong communication and influencing skills — able to present data-led recommendations to commercial, finance and factory stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics or a related discipline
- Literacy in Python or similar for data automation is desirable
