The Head of Department component is appointed for a two-year term, with the possibility of a further two-year term. A Level 1 managerial allowance applies for the duration of the Head of Department appointment.
In the Head of Department capacity, the role provides leadership to multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred emergency care and works collaboratively across the Clinical Program, hospital and health district. The role leads service development, innovation and continuous improvement to achieve organisational objectives and maintain excellence in emergency care.
The primary location of this position may be diverse as agreed with the Director of Medical Services and as approved by MDAAC to other facilities in SESLHD.
