The Opportunity

Lithgow City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Governance & Risk Administration Officer to join their team in Lithgow, NSW.

Reporting to the Governance, Risk and Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for providing administrative, records management and secretariat support across Council's governance, records and document control, committee administration, procurement, property, WHS and insurance functions.

More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):

- Providing administrative and secretariat support for committees, working groups, governance forums, audit committees and project steering groups.
- Provide administrative support for corporate assurance, reporting and related administrative activities.
- Provide administrative support for corporate assurance, reporting and related administrative activities.
- Provide administrative support for procurement, quotation, tender, contract and property administration processes.
- Administer document review processes and monitor reporting and review deadlines.
- Maintain corporate records, registers, document libraries and controlled documents across assigned functions.
- Support auditability through accurate recordkeeping and document control practices
- Maintain registers, action plans, review schedules, evidence records and supporting documentation.
- Monitor reporting deadlines and outstanding actions and undertake routine follow-up activities.
- Prepare routine correspondence, reports, agendas, business papers, minutes, action registers and administrative summaries.

About you

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

- Class C Driver Licence.
- Certificate III in Business Administration, Records Management, Local Government Administration or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience providing administrative and secretariat support across multiple business functions.
- Experience maintaining registers, records, reporting schedules,



action-tracking systems and controlled documents.
- Experience preparing correspondence, reports, agendas, business papers, minutes and administrative records.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and electronic document and records management systems.
- Strong written communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
- Demonstrated commitment to integrity, accountability and Work Health and Safety.

In addition the candidate would have experience providing administrative support within governance, corporate administration or regulated business environments, Experience providing committee secretariate support, experience supporting procurement, contract or property administration process, experience using TehcnologyOne of similar corporate information systems and knowledge of records management, privacy and document-control practices.
