Valentine Bowling Club is seeking a passionate and reliable Banquet/Function Chef to join our kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in preparing and delivering high-quality food for our members and guests. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work a 4-day rotating roster, including evenings and weekends, while contributing to the delivery of exceptional functions, events and dining experiences.

About You

Previous experience working as a banquet/function’s chef or in a similar commercial kitchen role.

Passion for food and delivering high-quality dishes.

Works well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Organised, reliable and able to work independently.

Demonstrates excellent attention to detail.

Robust understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.

Is available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Key Responsibilities

As part of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for:

Overseeing the preparation and delivery of daily catering and function services, ensuring all requirements are met to a high standard.

Maintaining consistency, quality and presentation across all dishes and services.

Supporting the wider kitchen team during high-volume service periods, ensuring efficient and timely food preparation.

Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety in accordance with relevant procedures and regulations.

Working collaboratively under the guidance of the Head Chef, communicating effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth and efficient service.
