Leichhardt is an independent, Australian-owned solar salt project headquartered in Perth with operations in northern Western Australia. Our sites include the Lake MacLeod operations near Carnarvon and the Eramurra Project, 55km outside Karratha.
Our mission is to create successful solar salt projects that are respected by our internal stakeholders as well as the communities in which we operate. With a social responsibility and sustainability focus, Leichhardt is driving innovation in the Australian salt landscape with a world class hi-spec, low-cost solar salt.
Lake MacLeod also produces approximately 1Mtpa of gypsum, predominantly exported to the Asia-Pacific region. Our gypsum operation includes excavation and water leaching to produce a plasterboard and cement grade product.

About the Role
We are seeking a Part-Time Senior Community Advisor working 2-3 days a week (hours/days flexible) to lead community engagement and social performance initiatives that strengthen Leichhardt's relationships with stakeholders and support our social licence to operate.
Working in our Subiaco office and reporting to the Manager Sustainability, you will work across the business to deliver stakeholder engagement activities, community investment programs, sustainability initiatives and social performance outcomes. This role partners closely with communities, local government, partners, community organisations and internal stakeholders to create positive and lasting impacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of community engagement and social performance initiatives aligned with our Sustainability Strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with communities, partners, local government and other key stakeholders.
- Manage community investment programs,
partnerships and sponsorship initiatives to deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities and maintain stakeholder records and engagement plans.
- Identify and manage community-related risks, issues and opportunities.
- Monitor and report on social performance metrics and support sustainability reporting requirements.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on community and stakeholder matters across the business.

What We Are Looking For
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills, attributes and experience:
- Degree qualification in Social Science, Community Development or a related discipline.
- At least five years' experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, social performance or a similar field.
- Experience working within mining, resources, infrastructure or other industrial environments is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of stakeholder engagement, community investment and social licence principles.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex issues and influence outcomes.
