About the role

Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich is seeking a talented Chef to join our culinary team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment where you'll contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests. Based in Ipswich QLD 4305, you'll be part of a vibrant team dedicated to creating high-quality meals and maintaining the standards that define our establishment.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications

- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene throughout all food preparation processes

- Managing food storage, inventory, and stock rotation to ensure freshness and minimise waste

- Collaborating with other kitchen staff and senior chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service

- Following all health, safety, and food handling regulations to maintain a safe and compliant kitchen environment

- Contributing to menu development and suggesting new dishes or improvements based on seasonal availability and customer feedback

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas

- Assisting with food preparation during peak service times and special events

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Chef or Cook in a hospitality or catering environment

- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, including food handling certifications

- Proficiency in a range of cooking techniques and culinary methods

- Excellent knife skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure

- A genuine passion for food quality and presentation





- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively within a kitchen brigade

- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to changing menus and service requirements

- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in all aspects of food preparation

- Desirable: Experience working in a club or licensed hospitality venue
