ABOUT THE ROLE

HillSide Christian College is seeking a Kindergarten/Pre-Primary Teacher for Term 1, 2027 for one school term. This is a fixed-term, 0.8 FTE (4 days per week) position to cover Long Service Leave. The position will be in either Kindergarten or Pre-Primary, so the successful applicant must be prepared and appropriately trained to teach in either setting.

Salary is based on the College’s Teacher Pay Scale and negotiable on qualifications and experience. A copy of the salary scale, Code of Conduct, and Statement of Faith are available upon request to the email contact provided in this advert.

KEY EXPECTATIONS

Successful applicants will be practising evangelical, protestant Christians, who are able to demonstrate and work within the College’s Christian framework. All teachers will need to accept the College’s Code of Conduct (including Statement of Faith) and meet all compliance requirements.



All teachers will be expected to be able to teach from a Christian worldview.

- Demonstrated personal Christian faith and the ability to support the College's Christian vision and mission

- Demonstrated reflective practice, ongoing skilled growth and contribution to whole-school improvement

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional learning community

- Comprehensive knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and early years frameworks, with the ability to design differentiated learning

- Demonstrated use of data and evidence-based, high impact teaching strategies

- Demonstrated ability to support students with diverse learning, social and cultural needs while promoting safety and wellbeing

- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents

HOW TO APPLY

Applicants should be able to demonstrate their personal faith in Jesus Christ as God and Saviour and demonstrate their active membership in an evangelical, protestant Christian Church. An applicant should be a dynamic teacher with high-level skills, proven experience and the desire to work within a Christian team setting.

- Current CV outlining qualifications, church membership, professional referees, contact details, and career history

- A written reference from a Pastor/Elder or the contact details of a Pastor/Elder who can be contacted for a verbal reference in regard to the applicant’s Christian faith, character and practice

- Copies of your current Working with Children Card (WWCC) and Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA) registration
