About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist to support contract and procurement activities across a Major Projects Portfolio.

The role has a strong focus on the tendering of construction contract works and services, followed by post-award contract administration and close-out.

You’ll develop, coordinate and evaluate tender packages, negotiate commercial terms and conditions, support contract execution, assess claims and provide advice to support contract and procurement decision-making.

This is a construction contracts and services role and is not a materials contracts position.

The role reports to the Contracts and Procurement Lead.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, coordinate tender packages for construction contracts, procurement and services
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions, including price, to support project schedule and budget requirements
- Develop clear, well-structured contract and procurement documentation that supports project requirements
- Apply a detailed understanding of construction programs and extension of time claims
- Mentor and train junior members of the team
- Support contract close-out following completion of works

About You
To be considered for this role,



you’ll bring:

- Substantial experience in contract administration within mining or civil construction environments
- Experience across SMP and EIC works
- Previous experience managing construction contracts from tender through to close-out of works
- Experience developing and evaluating construction tender packages
- Capability in contract negotiation, including terms, conditions and price
- Experience with post-award contract administration and contractual correspondence
- Detailed understanding of construction programs and extension of time claims
- Experience assessing payment claims, variations and extension of time claims
- Ability to identify and assess contractual risks at the pre-contract stage
- Strong contract and procurement documentation capability
