About the role

Faulkner Building Group Pty Ltd is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our construction team on a permanent full-time basis. We undertake residential building and construction projects across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern Rivers regions. Our work includes residential construction, renovations, extensions, remedial works and building rectification projects.

Key responsibilities

- Reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications
- Setting out and constructing timber wall, floor and roof framing
- Installing structural timber members, beams, joists, rafters and associated components
- First and second fix carpentry
- Installation of doors, windows, jambs, architraves and skirtings
- Installation of external cladding systems
- Construction and repair of decks, balconies, stairs and external structures
- Renovation, extension and alteration works to existing residential buildings
- Remedial and rectification carpentry
- Measuring, cutting, assembling and installing building materials

About you

- Relevant trade qualification in carpentry or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years' relevant carpentry/construction experience preferred




- Demonstrated experience in residential construction
- Strong framing, first fix and second fix carpentry skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings
- Positive understanding of Australian residential construction practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Construction White Card
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
