Inscope Training is seeking a motivated and reliable qualified carpenter to join our team as a Trainer & Assessor on the Gold Coast.
This role is ideal for an experienced carpenter who is looking to transition from on-the-tools work into a stable and rewarding training position, while continuing to use their industry skills and experience.
The successful applicant will deliver carpentry training both in-house and on-site, as well as support the delivery of Certificate II in Construction training.
No prior training or teaching experience is required. We are specifically seeking skilled tradespeople with industry experience who we can support and develop into high-quality, industry-relevant trainers.

Key Responsibilities
Once qualified and inducted into the role, you will:
- Deliver in-house carpentry training and practical sessions
- Conduct on-site training, support and assessment of apprentices
- Deliver and support Certificate II in Construction training
- Support students completing online theory components of their training
- Assess practical skills and workplace competency
- Maintain accurate training and assessment records
- Provide guidance, support and mentorship to apprentices and students
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of training and assessment practices
- Work closely with the Inscope Training team to ensure students receive a high-quality training experience
What We're Looking For
We are seeking applicants who:
- Hold a CPC30220 – Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
- Hold a current TAE qualification (TAE40122 preferred, or an equivalent TAE qualification)
- Have current or recent industry experience in carpentry
- Are reliable, motivated and eager to develop their training career
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate good time management and organisation
- Are confident working independently and as part of a team
- Are committed to maintaining professional standards and providing quality training to apprentices and students
Certificate II in Construction
The successful applicant will also be involved in delivering Certificate II in Construction Pathways training.
If you do not currently hold the Certificate II in Construction qualification, this is not a barrier to applying. Inscope Training will support and upgrade the successful applicant to the required qualification.
Applicants Must Also
- Hold a CPC30220 – Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
- Hold a current TAE qualification
- Hold or be willing to obtain a White Card (CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry)
- Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Blue Card
- Be physically able to carry out tasks associated with practical training environments
