Dewdrops Early Learning

Coburg

About Us

At Dewdrops Early Learning we strive to provide childcare and kindergarten that nurtures each child's needs and interests and captures their imagination and willingness to learn. In turn, we feel proud to support families by being part of the community that it takes to raise a child.

Founded in 2007, Dewdrops remains a family owned, boutique early childhood service, proudly serving families across Coburg, Brunswick, Moreland and Reservoir for over 20 years. Built on the values of Connection, Community, and Learning, we're a trusted, community-embedded provider, and we know our warmth, history and local relationships are our strength. Now we need a Marketing Officer to help us tell that story and bring more local families through our doors.

The Role

This is a hands-on, marketing role for someone who thrives on variety and wants to see their work directly impact business results. Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll take ownership of our marketing function end-to-end with a strong emphasis on social media, website content and building our digital presence to showcase what makes us different from the large corporate providers: a genuinely boutique, family-owned and operated early learning experience. Your work will be central to increasing enrolments and occupancy across all four centres.

This role is initially part time, 10 hours per week with scope to increase.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinating social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and beyond), building a consistent, authentic voice that showcases our family-owned, boutique character and day-to-day centre life.

- Managing website content using WordPress, liaising with website designers as required, to ensure our online presence reflects the warmth and personal touch of a genuinely local, and proudly independent provider.

- Writing engaging blog posts in a warm, family-appropriate voice that highlight our story, our educators and our community roots, consistent with current marketing trends.

- Managing service information on industry and public-facing websites/directories, ensuring our boutique positioning is consistent everywhere families find us.

- Managing public relations, identifying opportunities to tell our family-owned story to local media and community channels.

- Developing marketing collateral to support events carried out through the year using CANVA.

- Analysing and reporting on marketing activity and campaign performance

About You

- Proven experience in a marketing role, ideally in childcare, education, aged care, or another community/family-facing services sector

- Confident with WordPress, CRM software campaigns, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Canva

- A solid, adaptable writer who can speak to parents and families with warmth and clarity

- Comfortable managing social media and public relations across multiple platforms

- Highly organised, able to juggle strategic planning with day-to-day content and campaign delivery

- Data-savvy, comfortable analysing and reporting on marketing performance

- A genuine interest in early childhood education and community connection

Why Join Us?

- Be the driving force behind marketing for a well-loved, long-standing local brand

- Direct collaboration with the Managing Director and our Leadership team - your work shapes real business strategy, not just content calendars

- A close-knit, values-driven team across four centres in Melbourne's north

- Real autonomy to build and own a marketing function from the ground up

Our Child Safety Commitment

At Dewdrops Early Learning, the safety, wellbeing, and protection of children are our highest priority. We are committed to being a child safe organisation where all children feel safe, supported, and valued.

We have zero tolerance for child abuse and are committed to promoting the cultural safety of all children, including Aboriginal children, children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and children with a disability.

All employees are required to hold a current Employee Working with Children Check prior to commencement. Our recruitment process includes thorough screening and reference checks, and verification of qualifications and experience to assess suitability in working with children.

If you feel you would be a great fit for our team, we welcome applications through SEEK.
