About the role

ClOVE N HONEY is seeking a skilled Cook/Chef to join our team in our bustling kitchen located in Ormeau and Stones Corner QLD. CLOVE N HONEY is been post code winner in 2023 and top 5 in south brisbane in 2024. As a full-time Cook/Chef/ Sous chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality, delicious meals that delight our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and creativity in a fast-paced, dynamic hospitality environment.

Key Responsibility

- Preparing a variety of dishes from our diverse menu using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

- Ensuring all food is prepared, cooked and presented to the highest standards.

- Participate in promotional activities and events that highlight the restaurant unique menu.

- Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene protocols.

- Collaborating with the team to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes.

- Assisting with inventory management and stock control.

- Training junior staff to the right skills for preparing meals and cleaning procedures.

- Undertaking Sous Chef level responsibilities including supervision and coordination of kitchen operations.

- Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers to source fresh and sustainable ingredients.

- Monitor all Kitchen budget, expenditures and work to minimise waste while maximising profitability.

- Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and coordinate repairs as necessary.

- Providing customer menu offerings to cater dietary restrictions and responding promptly to customer requests and feedback.

What we're looking for (Qualifications)

- Proven experience as a Cook or Chef, preferably in a fast-paced hospitality environment.





- Minimum 5 years of professional cooking or chef experience required for Sous Chef.

- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications (desirable)

- Solid understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

- Strong technical cooking skills and a passion for preparing fresh, high-quality meals.

- Ability to work efficiently and under pressure in a dynamic kitchen environment.

- Excellent communication, teamwork and management skills.

- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene.

- Work sponsorship is available for suitable candidates without existing Australian work rights.
