ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a customer focused Relationship Manager to join our Government team. This role is responsible for building and strengthening trusted relationships across a portfolio of Government customers, understanding their priorities and challenges, and working collaboratively to deliver solutions that create value.





As the key point of contact for your designated portfolio, you will act as a trusted advisor, and developing a deep understanding of your customers’ needs within the Government environment. You will use your strong communication, relationship management and problem solving skills to navigate complex issues, bring the right internal teams together and ensure customers receive responsive, practical and commercially sound solutions.

You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to grow and strengthen the portfolio, through a combination of customer engagement, service improvement, retention and identifying new opportunities within existing and new Government relationships.

Success in this role will require someone who can build credibility quickly, communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels, influence outcomes, solve problems proactively and turn customer needs into opportunities for both the customer and Sonic HealthPlus.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong relationship management, communication, coordination and organisational skills, together with a customer focused approach. You will be confident working with a diverse range of stakeholders and able to effectively manage competing priorities with a professional, responsive and customer-focused approach.

You will demonstrate:

- Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across an assigned portfolio of Government customers.
- Government Experience: Previous experience working with or supporting Commonwealth, State/Territory, or Local Government customers will be highly regarded.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify issues, understand customer needs and develop practical solutions that support positive customer outcomes and effective service delivery.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Organisation & Coordination: Robust organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on actions and maintain accurate account and customer information.




- Commercial Awareness: An understanding of customer needs and the ability to identify opportunities to strengthen relationships, improve service outcomes and support growth within the portfolio.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business systems, with the demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and reporting.
- Driver’s Licence: Current and valid driver’s licence, with the ability to travel to customer and client sites as required.
- Healthcare Experience: Previous experience within occupational healthcare, healthcare or a related service environment.
