About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) delivers specialist mental health, alcohol and other drug care across Central Queensland, supporting communities from Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast to Gladstone, the Central Highlands and Banana. With services embedded across the region, the team provides care close to where people live, while Rockhampton serves as the principal hub for acute adult inpatient care.
The Gladstone Integrated Service brings Adult Mental Health, Child and Youth Mental Health, Step Up Step Down and Alcohol and Other Drugs services together under one roof. It's a genuinely connected model, combining assessment, treatment, case management and support with strong partnerships across hospitals, health services and community providers to help people move towards recovery.
About the role:
- Assess, triage and respond to consumer needs through comprehensive mental health assessments, risk assessment, care planning and therapeutic interventions.
- Coordinate seamless care between Mental Health, local hospitals, primary health and community services, helping consumers move between services with the right support.
- Deliver recovery-focused, consumer-centred care by working collaboratively with consumers, carers and multidisciplinary teams,
including outreach to surrounding CQMHAODS teams.
- Support the growth of others and your own practice through professional development, clinical supervision, peer learning and supervision of students and less experienced staff.
About you:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration; eligibility as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 is highly desirable.
- Mental health expertise, with the ability to provide care for people experiencing complex mental illness, including assessment, triage and risk management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build therapeutic relationships and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Confident clinical leadership and organisation, including the ability to educate and guide colleagues while effectively managing priorities and delivering routine adult mental health services.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $139,931 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $57.76 - $61.85 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
