· Dental Out Reach Coordinator

· Permanent Part Time, 45.6 hours per fortnight

· Located in: All RCG sites

· Classification: M154 (Dependent on experience)

Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026.

The Team & Role

The Dental Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the operational co-ordination of the Outreach Dental programs including Dental School Screenings and Smile Squad program at Bayside Health. This will involve project management tasks and travel to participating schools as needed.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

Tertiary Qualification in Health Promotion, Health Science, Community Development or a health service related field and/or a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the principles of health promotion. Or Dental qualification eligible for registration with the Dental Board of Australia.

· High level of understanding of dental public health principles





· Demonstrated ability to translate health promotion priorities and principles into practical health promotion/prevention activities.

· Proven skills and experience in planning and implementing multi-strategy health promotion interventions in partnership with key stakeholders.

· Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of health promotion theory and practice with a specific focus on the underlying social determinants of health.

· Demonstrated project planning and implementation skills, including strategic planning skills

· Ability to measure the outcomes of health promotion / prevention activities and adapt future programs dependent on findings

· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

· Ability to engage key stakeholders, consumers and services

· Current Victorian driver’s licence.

· A Police Check that is current and with 12 months of the date of issue

· Working with Children Check

· Experience in supervising clinical staff and providing consultation, advice and support around clinical issues

· Radiation operating license in Victoria as a clinician

Desirable

· Well-developed project management and computer literacy skills.

· Proven organisational and time-management skills

· Proven ability in completing administrative and reporting requirements to a high standard within set timeframes.

· Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a member of an effective multi-disciplinary team.





· Demonstrated ability to access funding opportunities

· Excellent information technology skills and familiarity with electronic client records software Titanium

· Experience in oral health promotion programs

· Project management experience
