Are you an experienced Glass & Aluminium Assembler who is ready to take the next step in your career?
We are currently seeking a motivated and hands-on Leading Hand to join a growing manufacturing and assembly team based in the Northern Suburbs of Perth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has strong experience working with glass, aluminium and general assembly and is looking to develop their leadership skills. You don't necessarily need extensive management experience — what is important is that you are confident on the tools, have a strong work ethic and are ready to take on additional responsibility.
The Opportunity
Working as part of a busy production and assembly operation, you will remain hands-on while gradually taking on more responsibility for coordinating and delegating work across the team.
The successful candidate will work closely with the management team to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while helping the team stay organised and productive.
This role would suit someone who is currently an experienced assembler, senior tradesperson or informal team leader and is looking for an opportunity to step into a formal Leading Hand position.
Key Responsibilities

- Hands-on assembly of glass and aluminium products
- Reading and working from drawings, plans and specifications
- Measuring, cutting, fitting and assembling aluminium components
- Handling and installing glass safely and correctly
- Ensuring finished products meet quality and presentation standards
- Assisting with the organisation and prioritisation of daily workloads
- Helping delegate tasks across the assembly team
- Supporting less experienced team members and sharing your knowledge
- Monitoring production timelines and ensuring jobs remain on schedule
- Identifying and resolving assembly or production issues




- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment
- Working closely with management to improve workflow and productivity
- Leading by example and maintaining a strong hands-on work ethic

What We're Looking For
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

- Previous experience in glass and/or aluminium assembly
- Strong hands-on manufacturing, fabrication or assembly experience
- The ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Excellent communication skills
- A reliable and positive attitude
- The confidence to take responsibility and help coordinate others
- A willingness to develop into a stronger leadership position

You may currently be working as a Senior Assembler, Glass Installer, Aluminium Fabricator, Production Team Leader, Leading Hand or experienced tradesperson and be ready for the next step.
Career Development
This position is particularly suited to someone who wants to develop their leadership capabilities.
Initially, the role will remain very hands-on, but there is an expectation that the successful candidate will progressively take on more responsibility for delegating work, coordinating the team and assisting management with the day-to-day running of the assembly operation.
For the right person, this could provide a genuine pathway into a more senior supervisory or management position.
