The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Superintendent Technical Services, your primary responsibility will be to support our operational team in a dynamic work environment which requires you to roll up your sleeves and think on your feet. You will be accountable for site mine engineering and technical services, in the drill and blast discipline
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering D&B; designs, load plans, tie-in plans, post blast analysis & heritage packs.
- Managing CLUP process through daily interaction with mining and DB teams
- Acting as the primary owner of process and practice improvement between the d&B; planning and D&B; operations team
- Providing feedback on 2 week Plans
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities within the short‑term and tactical planning horizons, including relevant deep‑dives to support management decisions.
What is Required:
- Established experience within mine operations in the resources industry preferably in hard rock
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or related disciplines
- Competency with major recognized mining design and scheduling software such as Vulcan,Shot Plus, Blast IQ or similar
- High degree of communication and analytical skills and strong organisational and problem solving abilities
