Mechanical Fitter

TRS Resourcing is currently seeking experienced three Mechanical Fitters on behalf of our client in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne

We are looking for mechanically minded tradespeople with solid maintenance experience within quarry, sand, mining or similar heavy industrial environments. This is a hands-on role suited to Fitters who are comfortable fault-finding, repairing equipment and getting involved in fabrication and machining when required. This is a 60% workshop based position with some site work involved

About the role:

- Maintenance, servicing and repairs of quarry and heavy industrial equipment
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Mechanical fault finding and repairs
- Manual machining as required
- MIG and ARC welding
- Working on a variety of plant, machinery and mechanical components




- Workshop and site-based work
- Working from drawings and specifications
- Opportunity to work away a few times per year, generally for 2–3 weeks at a time
