Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, qualified and experienced HVAC Technician to maintain and install aviation-critical air conditioning and mechanical systems that support Australia's National Airways System.

What you’ll do

- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with prescribed procedures and standards.
- Undertaking installation and project activities on HVAC and associated mechanical systems.
- Maintaining an awareness of operational impacts when performing work on Airservices systems.
- Accurately recording maintenance activities within maintenance management systems.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Working effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure successful service delivery.
- Supporting and coaching team members where required.
- Complying with safety, environmental, risk and governance requirements.
- Working independently and managing tasks with limited supervision

The Person

The successful applicant will have:

- Significant experience maintaining and installing commercial and industrial HVAC systems including chilled water systems, cooling towers, air handling units, building control systems, packaged units and split systems.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- The ability to plan, prioritise and organise work effectively with limited guidance.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
- A commitment to safety, teamwork and exceptional customer service.
- Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team.

The following qualifications are essential to be considered for this role:

- Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick).
- Current Restricted Electrical Licence (or Victorian equivalent).
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.




- Current CPR/LVR qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
- Australian Citizenship (required to obtain and maintain the necessary Defence Baseline Security Clearance).
- Relevant trade licences required under legislative and Airservices requirements

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

- ACMA Data Cabling Licence.
- Experience with diesel generators and power generation systems.
- High Risk Work Licence - Dogging.
- Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain.
- Experience working within operational, critical infrastructure or aviation environments.

Security Clearance

To be eligible, you must be an Australian citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance and Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC). Please refer to the security check requirements successful applicants will be required to undertake as part of the recruitment process.
