Let’s Play Games is seeking an Organised Play - Tournament Organiser to join our team. An Organised Play - Tournament Organiser will support organised play events as assigned by the Events Team Leader, contributing to growth of organised play programs in Australia and Current Zealand. This will include but not limited to the organisations of organised play events, development and support the growth of judge communities and promotion of learn to play activities. You'll play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of various organised play and marketing events throughout the year. This is a full time role and with an option for remote, but a preference to be based in Wetherill Park, NSW.
Responsibilities:
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing and event efforts align with business goals and maintain branding consistency across all activities
- Execute organised play tournaments and activities
- Experience in organising swiss pairings, building tournament structures
- Understanding Tournament philosophies
- Enhancing the player experience
- Manage Tournament Software
- Eventlink
- Melee
- TCG+
- Gem
- Card.io
- Brief and manage external vendors and contractors - designers, printers, photographers and judge communities
- Plan and deliver internal and external marketing events and B2B/B2C events, including budgets, timelines, and checklists
- Source and liaise with event vendors and suppliers
- Handle event admin including order placements, asset creation, travel planning, and RSVP tracking
- Hire and manage event personnel; oversee in office setup, operations, and troubleshooting
- Manage and deploy marketing/event inventory
- Promote and support participation in external stakeholder, partnership, and industry events
Skills & Experience:
- 2 years' experience in a similar events role
- Must have deep knowledge in Trading Cards Games and Tabletop Industry
- Deep Knowledge of the following games: Magic the Gathering, Bandai Card Games, Flesh and Blood, Riftbound and more
- Proven experience planning and delivering events
- Confidence in Public speaking
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Tournament Software such as Eventlink, Melee, TCG+, Gem, Carde.io and more
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, Google Suite, Canva, Mailchimp, and WordPress
- Self-starter attitude with a proactive, can-do approach
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and work autonomously
- Willingness to travel and work weekends/extended hours during event periods, as required

- Flexibility for Travel: Must be willing to travel as required to manage events. Travel may include weekends and extended hours during event periods.
- Weekend Work: Availability to work on weekends is essential. Key events often take place during weekends.
