About the role

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, you'll take responsibility for the smooth running of the venue during your shifts. You'll support and guide staff, maintain high service standards and confidently handle the unexpected. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys leading by example and is just as comfortable helping behind the bar or on the bistro floor as they are supervising operations.

Key responsibilities

- Supervising daily operations across the bar, bistro, gaming, TAB and function areas.

- Providing friendly, professional service and resolving patron enquiries and concerns.

- Leading, coaching and supporting staff, including training new team members.

- Managing staffing during shifts to balance customer service with labour budgets.

- Overseeing cash handling, till balancing and reconciliation.

- Maintaining venue presentation, cleanliness and safe work practices.

- Supporting responsible gambling, liquor service, gaming, TAB and AML/CTF compliance, including accurate records and escalation of concerns.

- Assisting with stock ordering, stocktakes, rostering and operational improvements as required.

- Assist or manage our social media platforms.

- Experience supervising staff in a club, hotel or similar hospitality venue.

- A robust customer service focus and a practical approach to solving problems.

- Confidence with cash handling, reconciliation and venue procedures.

- Gaming and TAB experience, with an understanding of responsible gambling and compliance requirements.

- Relevant RSA, RSG and gaming credentials for the role.

- A willingness to work across all areas of the venue and carry out practical duties using safe work procedures.

- Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
