We are looking for an inspiring AOD Team Leader to join our team and play a key role in delivering participant-led, recovery-focused services that genuinely change lives.

As a Team Leader, you will provide leadership, guidance and support to a dedicated team , while helping ensure participants receive high-quality assessment, case management, referral, education and support in line with The Salvation Army’s guidelines and values.

Our service supports a significant number of people involved with the Criminal Justice system . You will have the opportunity to work alongside people who may be facing some of life’s biggest challenges and support them to build a different future.

Located in Fountaindale on the NSW Central Coast, this full-time, permanent role is based within a 40-bed residential AOD facility and reports to the Service Manager.

Salary: In accordance with SCHADS Award Level 6.

How you will make an impact

- Report to service manager on service performance with the aim of growing the existing service and client base
- Manage day to day operations, roll out of program changes and service/staff performance
- Support the productive day to day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral and case work within a recovery orientated and person led service environment
- Monitor the performance of and provide support to direct reports to deliver quality, efficient and effective services
- Build strong referral pathways with internal and external stakeholders, resulting in beneficial outcomes for participants

What you will bring

- Relevant degree or Diploma in AOD, Community Services, Case Management or a related discipline.
- Completion of 4 AOD Skill Set units, or willingness to complete them.
- 3+ years’ management experience in AOD, community services, health or related sectors.
- Experience working with criminal justice clients and understanding of the criminal justice system.
- Proven ability to lead teams, build capability and improve service delivery.




- Experience supporting people impacted by AOD, gambling and mental health challenges.
- Experience working with diverse cultural, linguistic and religious backgrounds.
- Robust de-escalation and problem-solving skills when managing challenging or unpredictable situations.
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
