Are you an Oracle Retail heavyweight who thrives in high-stakes, fast-paced client environments?

I am partnering with a global retail and e-commerce engineering firm to secure their first dedicated on-site Technical Lead for a major Australian retailer in Melbourne. As our client expands their APAC footprint, this is a highly strategic role where your technical execution will directly anchor the end-client relationship and pave the way for future projects.

This is not a hands-off management role. We need a resilient problem solver who can handle a demanding environment. Your time will be heavily weighted toward hands-on individual contribution (70%) with the remainder focussed on client and stakeholder management (30%).

What You Will Do:

- Own technical architecture and solution design for RMS, Allocation, and their integration with other Oracle Retail modules.
- Oversee integration and technical direction across the full Oracle Retail v11 suite.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for critical production issues across RMS, Allocation, and integrated modules.




- Drive system-wide performance tuning strategy across SQL, PL/SQL, batch processing, and RIB messaging.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and drive high-level and low-level design documentation.
- Oversee patch management, version upgrade planning, and setting and release strategy across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments.

What You Need To Bring:

- 9+ years in the Oracle Retail space.
- Expertise in PL/SQL, SQL, and RMS and Allocation architecture.
- Strong command of the full Oracle Retail v11 suite and integration design using RIB.
- Solid experience with Unix scripting and batch scheduling using Autosys or Control-M.
- Retail process knowledge covering pack management, purchase orders and allocations, and inventory management.
- A "thick skin" with the ability to manage complex stakeholders, cut through noise, and deliver solutions under tight deadlines.
