MRA Search is mandated by a leading global law firm seeking an experienced Technology Senior Associate to join their Melbourne office.

The firm is one of the largest and most highly regarded law firms in the world with offices spanning Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and the Middle East.

The Melbourne technology practice is a genuinely full-spectrum technology and commercial law team; one of the most comprehensive and active in the Australian market. The practice covers:

- Technology and data transactions and digital transformations
- Digital infrastructure and outsourcing (both technology and business process)
- IP commercialisation and strategic licensing
- Data commercialisation, advisory and governance
- Privacy, cyber and information security
- AI and emerging technologies
- Strategic sourcing and broader commercial transactions, often with an innovation element

Beyond core technology work, the team plays a critical supporting role alongside M&A; and Projects colleagues on market-defining corporate and infrastructure transactions,



advising on the technology, IP, cyber, privacy and data separation aspects of major acquisitions and divestments. This gives lawyers in the team genuine exposure to some of the most significant corporate and infrastructure transactions in the Australian market, working alongside colleagues across multiple practice groups.

About you:

- 5-8 years’ post-qualification experience , with robust experience in technology transactions, data, digital infrastructure, outsourcing, privacy, cyber or related commercial transactional work.
- Relevant experience from a leading domestic / international law firm or in-house legal team .
- Admitted in Australia however NZ qualified lawyers will also be considered.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
