Hancocks Accountants is a progressive, client-focused Chartered Accounting firm based in Tamworth, NSW, led by three Directors who are genuinely invested in the growth of their team. We're known locally for building long-term relationships with our clients — and we take the same approach with our staff.

We're growing, and we're looking for one or two Intermediate to Senior Accountants to join our taxation compliance team.

The Role

n

You'll work on a portfolio of clients across a range of industries, from start to finish — building relationships, solving problems, and delivering great outcomes. We're genuinely open to full time or part-time arrangements to suit the right person.

Day to day, you'll:

- Prepare and review tax returns, activity statements and financial statements for individuals, businesses, trusts, SMSFs and other entity types
n
- Manage your own client workflow, with support from Directors and senior staff when needed
n
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
n
- Help clients improve their business record-keeping and systems
n
- Mentor and support junior team members (for more senior candidates)
n

About You

n

n
- Bachelor's degree majoring in Accounting or Commerce
n




- CA/CPA qualified, or actively working towards it
n
- Experience in an Australian public practice firm, across individuals, businesses, SMSFs and other entities
n
- Confident working independently and managing your own priorities and deadlines
n
- Strong communicator with a genuine interest in client relationships
n
- A problem-solver with a keen eye for detail
n
- Experience with MYOB AE, Xero and/or Class Super highly regarded (equivalent software experience welcome)
n
- Full working rights in Australia
