The Opportunity

We are seeking a suitably qualified Teacher for the following Permanent position.

n

YEARS 10-12 MATHEMATICS TEACHER - PERMANENT

n

This is a permanent position working within the Middle and Senior Schools of Tenison Woods College including the possibility of teaching Year 12 subjects. The FTE will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

n

The teacher will:

n

- Apply curriculum knowledge andpedagogical practiceswhich facilitate successful learning;
n
- Respond to learner's needs;
n
- Develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships;
n
- Differentiateteaching to meet the specific learning needsof studentsacross the full range of abilitiesincluding developingPersonalised Plans for Learning(PPL's), as appropriate;
n
- Assessstudent learningand report achievementagainst the standards;
n
- Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments;
n

Professional Responsibilities

n

n
- Actively implementsafeguarding practices in accordance with the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards and school policies.
n
- Fulfil all requirements of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
n
- Actively commit to uphold and contribute to the ethos of Catholic schools in general as well as that oftheschool.
n
- Comply with relevant legislation as well as South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools (SACCS) and the school's policies, guidelines and procedures.
n




- Meet and teach students at designated locations and times.
n
- Appropriately assist students who are hurt, sick or in distress.
n
- Diligently undertake supervision duties, including regular yard duty.
n
- Maintain professional boundaries and model respectful behaviour.
n

Qualifications and Training

n

n
- SA Teachers Registration
n
- Working with Children Check
n
- Approved Mandatory Notification training – Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care certificates (Masterclass & Fundamental courses)
n
- Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum certificate
n
- First Aid Certificate
n
- Be willing to undertake Teacher Accreditation in Catholic Education SA training, along with any other compulsory training necessary for the role.
