Hybrid. Flexible. It is expected that the preferred candidate(s) will be on-site 2 days per week and interstate candidates will be on-site for quarterly planning events.

Description:

Our client is seeking an Information Architect to design, structure and govern business information assets in alignment with business needs and strategic objectives. The role will design, document and govern information architectures supporting business capabilities, service delivery and enterprise information management objectives.

The Information Architect will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand information requirements, develop information models and structures, define metadata and taxonomy frameworks, support information governance initiatives, and ensure information assets align with enterprise and data architecture strategies.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct stakeholder engagement and information discovery workshops.
- Assess the current-state information landscape and document existing information assets, repositories and structures.
- Analyse information flows, dependencies and governance requirements.
- Identify information management risks, issues and opportunities.
- Develop an information architecture framework.
- Define information models, taxonomies and metadata structures.
- Establish information classification and content structures.
- Document integration and interoperability requirements.
- Develop information governance recommendations and standards.
- Complete information architecture artefacts and governance documentation.
- Deliver stakeholder briefings, governance presentations, knowledge transfer and handover materials.
- Support implementation and adoption activities.
- Contribute to Agile delivery practices,



maintain work items in Azure DevOps and support governance activities.

Requirements:

- Proven experience designing, implementing and governing enterprise information architectures, information models, taxonomies, metadata frameworks and content structures.
- Demonstrated experience developing information management standards, governance frameworks, classification schemes and practices that improve information quality, accessibility, compliance and usability.
- Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives, architects and governance forums.
- Experience designing logical and conceptual information models, information classifications, metadata standards, taxonomies and structures that support discoverability, reuse and interoperability.
- Experience ensuring information architecture aligns with enterprise, data, solution and business architecture practices while supporting integration across systems and services.
- Robust ability to produce high-quality information architecture artefacts, governance documentation, briefing papers, standards, roadmaps and executive presentations.
- Understanding of information management obligations relating to privacy, records management, security classifications, information governance and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments, using tools such as Azure DevOps, and ensuring alignment with enterprise governance, architecture standards and organisational policies.

- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and governing enterprise information architectures. This includes developing information models, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, classification structures and content architectures that support information discoverability, accessibility, reuse and business outcomes. Demonstrated ability to assess current-state information environments and design sustainable future-state information architectures aligned to organisational needs.
- Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and collaborate with a broad range of business and technical stakeholders, including executives, architects, delivery teams and governance forums. Proven experience facilitating workshops, eliciting requirements, building consensus and communicating complex information management concepts through clear documentation, presentations and recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience establishing information governance frameworks, information management standards, metadata and classification schemes, and governance practices that improve information quality, compliance and usability. Proven ability to ensure information architecture aligns with enterprise, business, data and solution architecture principles while addressing privacy, security, records management and regulatory obligations.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, build trust, contribute positively to team culture, support others, and create alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
