Norton Gold Fields is one of Australia’s largest domestic gold producers, with recent annual production of up to 260,000 ounces. The Company has a mining and processing complex in Western Australia’s world-class Kalgoorlie goldfield region, including a highly prospective tenement package of more than 1,000km² surrounding the 3.8Mtpa Paddington Mill.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all open-pit mining activities to achieve safety and production targets.
- Deliver LOM plans and budgets while optimising resource recovery and cost control.
- Oversee contractor management, equipment utilisation and statutory responsibilities.
- Foster a solid safety culture, incident management and investigation.
- Coordinate drill & blast, load & haul, technical staff and mobile maintenance functions.
- Identify and implement strategies to increase production and reduce costs.
- Manage outsourcing contracts, negotiations and contractor performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve sustainable outcomes.

About You

- Unrestricted WA Quarry Manager’s Certificate
- Senior Site Executive
- 15+ years’ experience in open-pit gold mining operations with effective leadership of large teams.




- Strong knowledge of gold processing, mining equipment, geological and engineering information.
- Comprehensive understanding of WA mining legislation, safety standards and codes of practice.
- Advanced computer skills including mining software, SAP (desirable) and HSE systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with proven stakeholder engagement and reporting skills.
- Permanent full-time role with immediate start.
- Excellent remuneration package with additional allowances.
- Receive $12k residential allowance per annum for residential employee.
- Receive a highly competitive short-term incentive payment (STIP).
- Fully covered family private health insurance through GU Health Complete Gold Cover or an allowance of $4.8k.
- $2.4k Death and Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance allowance.
- Pro-rata long service leave (LSL) after just 5 years of service and be entitled to 13 weeks paid LSL after 10 years of service.
