Dedicated paediatric caseload supporting children and young people

Structured paediatric development pathway available for audiologists new to paediatric practice

Supportive multidisciplinary and clinician network, with access to specialist guidance and mentoring

Centre-based role in Toowoomba (within 1 hour and 45 minutes to Brisbane CBD)

Permanent, full-time position (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm) – 9 days per fortnight with a fortnightly rostered day off.

Your opportunity

As a Paediatric Specialist Audiologist in our Toowoomba Hearing Centre, you will provide family centred hearing care to children and young people under 26 years of age. Working side by side with people who go the extra mile, you’ll also love the feeling of helping children and their families who need us. Here’s how you’ll do it:

- Provide comprehensive audiological assessment, hearing device fitting, rehabilitation, counselling and ongoing care for children and young people
- Partner with parents,carersand young people so they understand the diagnosis,



availableoptionsand agreed plan.
- Tailor care to each child or young person, considering their communication, developmental, education and family needs.
- Collaborate with referrers, educators, medical practitioners, allied healthprofessionalsand other support services.
- Maintainaccurateclinical records and reports, and contribute to high-quality, consistentpaediatricservice delivery.
- Work with the Centre Manager, ClinicalCoachandpaediatricclinical network to support best practice, continuouslearningand strong client outcomes
- Under the Manager’s direction, assist with overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Centre and support team in the provision of timely and quality services to paediatric clients.
- Build positive local relationships and, whereappropriate, contribute to community or professional education aboutpaediatrichearing care

What you’ll bring

- Tertiary qualification in Audiology
- Full and current membership with Audiology Society of Australia
- HSP Qualified Practitioner status
- A strong commitment to client-centered, family-centered care
- Clear and compassionate communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information in an accessible way
- Confidence in collaborating with families, referrers and professionals from a range of disciplines
- A commitment to ongoing learning and career development
- Paediatric audiology experience is desirable,
