Expressions of Interest for Commercial Business Team Lead
- Clerk Grade 9/10, commencing salary $133,348 plus super
- Temporary, 6 month opportunity, based in Londonderry, hybrid working arrangements available
We are seeking expressions of interest for the Commercial Business Team Lead. This EOI is only open to current eligible NSW Government employees to apply for. Contingent Workers are encouraged to apply to any externally advertised roles.

SafeWork NSW is the state's workplace health and safety regulator. Our mission is to reduce work-related fatalities, injuries and illnesses by ensuring workplaces comply with health and safety laws. About the role
TestSafe Australia is a SafeWork NSW commercial testing and certification organisation operating at two sites in Londonderry and Thornleigh. Testing services are provided to Australian and overseas customers across multiple industries, using state of the art Science & Technology.
As the Commercial Team Leaser you will lead the commercial and business support functions of the unit, providing financial insights, operations oversight and strategic advice needed to support effective decision-making and sustainable business outcomes.
Your responsibilities would include but not be limited to;
- Translate complex financial and operational data into meaningful insights
- Identifying trends and analysing performance to improve processes and contribute to initiatives to enhance efficiency and service delivery
- Build capability, foster collaboration and create a high performing team culture that supports innovation, accountability and continuous improvement

About You
To be successful in this role you would need to demonstrate;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in commercial operations, including costing, pricing, budgeting and financial performance reporting in a service delivery environment.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyse financial and operational information, identify commercial risks and opportunities, and provide practical advice to support business decision making.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, finance, accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Robust stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build effective working relationships
- Sound knowledge of My WokZone and NSW Government procurement practices
- Ability to lead and foster a team
