Are you energetic, caring and passionate about creating a place where children feel happy, included and supported? Good Shepherd Lutheran School is looking for enthusiastic OSHC Educators to join its Imagination OSHC team in Para Vista. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced educators, those currently studying a relevant qualification, or people looking to build their experience working with school-aged children.

is an Early Learning to Year 6 school and part of a network of more than 85 Lutheran schools across Australia. Its Imagination OSHC Service is located in office and is an important part of the wider school community, providing before-school, after-school and vacation care for children from Foundation to Year 6.

What you'll be doing
n
Working alongside the OSHC team, you'll help create an engaging, welcoming and safe environment where children can relax, have fun and connect.
n
You will:
n
n
- Help plan and deliver fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities
n
- Support children with additional needs to participate fully in the program
n
- Assist with the day-to-day running of before-school, after-school and vacation care
n
- Develop positive, professional relationships with children, families, staff, and the broader school community
n
- Adhere to the School's policies and procedures, including food handling, child protection, and safety standards
n
- Foster an environment where children feel safe, valued, and included, aligned with the school's vision and values
n
- Help maintain a safe, caring and inclusive environment
n
- Complete required records and follow relevant child safety, food handling and school procedures.
n
- Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the OSHC centre, ensuring all activities align with Good Shepherd Lutheran School's Vision, Values, and Learning Principles
n

About you
n
Most importantly, you'll genuinely enjoy working with children and bring a positive, encouraging and approachable attitude to each shift.
n
You will have:
n
n
- A qualification for working with children over preschool age in South Australia
n
- Experience working with children 6 - 12 years old
n
- Current Working with Children Check
n
- Food Handling Training (desirable)
n
- First Aid in Educational and Child Care Setting (desirable)
n
- RAN (Responding to Abuse and Neglect) training
n
- Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality
n
- Robust interpersonal, and communication skills
n
- Proven ability to develop positive professional relationships with students, staff and parents
n
- Passion to support all students to achieve their potential
n
n
