Eumundi State School is seeking an outstanding and innovative educational leader to join our leadership team as a Head of Department (Student Services) commencing Term 4 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly capable leader who is passionate about fostering student culture, strengthening student engagement and wellbeing and supporting staff to implement consistent evidence informed behaviour practices.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

Your Opportunity

- Lead initiatives that strengthen student learning, attendance and engagement, particularly for students experiencing disadvantage.
n
- Monitor student achievement, attendance, performance and behaviour, implementing appropriate strategies and supporting new arrivals with their academic, social and emotional needs.

- Work collaboratively with parents, staff, education providers, State Schools Division and external organisations to improve student outcomes and attendance.
n
- Support school leaders, Heads of Department, Year Level Coordinators, Guidance Officers and teachers with tools and strategies that promote student achievement and attendance.

- Apply relevant legislation and policies while managing departmental human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to support school goals.
