About the role
As aCustomer Service Officer – Trainee , you’ll be the first point of contact for customers, delivering professional, friendly and accurate service both in person and over the phone. You’ll support day‑to‑day reception, administrative and basic financial tasks, while learning how a large, customer‑focused organisation operates. This role requires someone who is comfortable and confident engaging with the public, both face-to-face and over the phone.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with front‑line customer service, reception and telephone enquiries
- Process basic financial transactions and cash handling under supervision
- Respond to customer requests, enquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Record and action customer requests using internal systems
- Provide general administrative support including data entry, record keeping and file maintenance
- Work collaboratively with team members and support other operational teams as required
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with organisational policies and procedures
- Participate fully in training and successfully complete aCertificate III in Business

- Commitment to completing a Certificate III in Business
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deal calmly and professionally with a wide range of customers
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn current systems
- Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable
- Understanding of basic cash handling
- Ability to obtain a National Police Check
- Previous customer service or administration experience
- Driver’s licence
