About The Company

Our client is a successful, highly respected residential home builder, based in Newcastle, NSW, specialising in small to medium projects across the Hunter and Central Coast regions.

They are looking for a Draftsperson with 3-5 years' experience, or a Designer with solid practical experience, to join their team and take the next step in their career.

About The Role

Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for developing residential projects from customer briefs and initial sales sketches through to detailed working drawings.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

- Interpreting customer briefs and sales sketches accurately to ensure customer satisfaction
- Producing full sets of working drawings at various stages of the process using ArchiCAD
- Ensuring drawings comply with relevant Council Development Control Plans (DCPs) and the NSW Complying Development Code (CDC)
- Following established company processes and systems
- Working efficiently within a small team to maintain quality standards, achieve targets, and meet project timelines

About You

- Proficiency in ArchiCAD is essential
- Relevant degree in Architecture, Building Design, or a related discipline
- 3-5 years' experience working as a Draftsperson, or reasonable experience in a Design role




- The ability to interpret and apply Development Control Plans and the NSW Complying Development Code
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- The ability to interpret drawings conceptually and translate briefs into practical designs
- Strong problem-solving skills
- A willingness to contribute to a small team and support others
- The ability to work to deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work
