We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Teacher to join ourCarinity school community. As a Teacher, you will develop anddeliver quality, innovative teaching, and support programs forstudents, building positive relationships with all students andproviding assistance in achievement of students’ personal andacademic goals. For this role, it is required to undertakeTeacher’s work in ways that provides a role model for youth in theeveryday life of the campus community.
This position requires availability Monday to Friday eachweek.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences throughProject Based Learning, planned lessons, and effectiveclassroom management tailored to individual student needs.
- Develop and implement (Individual Learning Plans (ILPs),ensuring behavioural and educational needs are met and progressis monitored.
- Build strong relationships and provide student support,demonstrating positive role modelling, guiding behaviour, andsupporting wellbeing.
- Manage student behaviour effectively, using proactivestrategies in classrooms and during supervision to maintainsafety and positive engagement.
About you:
You are passionate aboutsupporting youth and their families. You bring empathy,
excellentcommunication skills, and the ability to collaborate with students,staff, and external professionals. You are organised, adaptable,and proactive in fostering a safe, supportive, and values-drivenschool workplace.
- Current QLD Teacher Registration
- Experience in providing support and education formarginalised young people and those suffering as a result ofAdverse Childhood Experiences
- Suitability for Working with Children card (Blue Card)
- Experience and/or knowledge in trauma informed practices inan educational setting or willingness to learn
