At Major Healthcare, we're looking for compassionate, resilient and dedicated Children's Residential Support Workers to join our growing agency team.

You'll be supporting children and young people living in residential care settings, helping to provide a safe, nurturing and therapeutic workplace where they can thrive. Every shift is different, but every shift is an opportunity to make a lasting difference.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will:

- Support children and young people within residential homes.
- Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a positive role model.
- Promote independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
- Support with daily routines, education, appointments and recreational activities.
- Encourage positive behaviour using trauma-informed and child-centered approaches.
- Follow care plans,



risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
- Complete accurate records and handovers.
- Work collaboratively with residential teams and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for each young person.

What We're Looking For:

- At least 6 months' paid UK experience working with children or young people in a residential setting.
- Experience supporting children with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work a mixture of day shifts, waking nights and sleep-ins.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Current Physical Intervention/Restraint training.
- Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
