Job Description
Cottee Parker Architects is looking for a Graduate of Architecture to join our team.
n
We're looking for a motivated Graduate who has gained practical experience within an architectural practice and is particularly confident working in the front-end design and Development Application (DA) stages of projects.
n
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the early stages of a project – developing design ideas, preparing planning and DA packages, coordinating information and working alongside experienced Architects and Project Leaders to help progress projects from concept through approvals and delivery.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Assist with concept design, design development and Development Application (DA) packages
n
- Prepare architectural drawings, models, schedules and presentation material
n
- Assist with planning and authority submissions and the project approval processSupport Project Leaders in client, consultant and authority meetings
n
- Coordinate consultant information and incorporate inputs into project documentation
n
- Assist with site analysis, research and investigation during the early stages of projects
n
- Prepare accurate and well-coordinated architectural documentation
n
- Undertake research into planning requirements, materials and construction methods
n
- Maintain organised project records and documentation
n
- Work collaboratively with Architects, Project Leaders, Interior Designers and consultants
n
- Continue developing your technical, design and project coordination skills across all stages of a project
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
- A Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent from a recognised institution
n
- Previous experience within an architectural practice (2-3 years), with exposure to front-end design and DA work
n
- Relevant sector experience across retail, multi-residential, townhouses and/or hotels, we also looking for someone with industrial and defence typologies.
n
- An understanding of planning controls, Development Applications and authority approval processes
n
- Strong architectural design, drawing and documentation skills
n
- Proficiency in Revit
n
- Strong graphic and presentation skills
n
- Good attention to detail and an organised approach to your work
n
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with project teams, consultants and other stakeholders
n
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn, develop and take on greater responsibility
n
- Ability to manage your workload and meet project deadlines
n
- Eligibility to work towards registration as an Architect in Australia
n
- Permanent working rights in Australia
n

n
You're a Graduate who has already had some exposure to architectural practice and is ready to build on that experience.
n
You enjoy the front end of projects, understand the importance of good design and well-prepared DA documentation, and are keen to develop your experience across the broader project lifecycle.
n
