We are a growing motel group seeking a practical, reliable and motivated Assistant Motel Manager x 2 to join our 2026/2027 Graduate Intake.

This is a full-time salaried, hands-on motel operations role, not a desk-based management position. It is ideal for a hospitality graduate with around 2-3 years of practical hospitality experience who wants to develop into a Motel Manager.

Preference will be given to candidates who have graduated from an Australian or Current Zealand university, TAFE, polytechnic or recognised hospitality institution, and currently in Australia or New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:

- Hands-on housekeeping and room cleaning
- Making beds, cleaning bathrooms and preparing guest rooms
- Front office, reservations and guest assistance
- Checking rooms and maintaining property presentation
- Assisting with room rates and reservations
- Handling guest enquiries and day-to-day issues
- Simple repairs and maintenance, such as replacing toilet seats, fixing/changing taps, assembling furniture and other minor maintenance
- Moving furniture, linen, supplies and equipment
- Receiving deliveries and organising motel supplies
- Assisting with purchasing, errands and operational tasks around the local area
- General administration and daily motel operations

There is no staff rostering or housekeeping supervisor responsibility. This is an independent role with very hands-on position where you will be learning how to operate and run the motel and carrying out the day-to-day work.

Essential Requirements

- Applicants must:
- Currently be living in Australia
- Have approximately 3 years of relevant hospitality experience
- Hold or be able to complete a qualification in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism or a related discipline
- Be willing to undertake regular housekeeping and room cleaning




- Have practical skills and be comfortable carrying out simple repairs and maintenance
- Be physically capable of manual handling hands on repairs when required
- Have good English communication and customer-service skills
- Be comfortable working independently
- Have good computer and technology skills
- Be willing to relocate to Regional Queensland
- Hold appropriate Australian work rights preferable
- Student with the last year study - welcome
- Hold a current driver's licence - international lic is accepted
