ABOUT THE ROLE:

The purpose of the position is to support and coordinate the education and professional development training requirements with flexible learning options (internal and external) of the acute and residential staff so that skills and competencies needed at Corryong Health are at best practice. To coordinate and manage the Regional Graduate Nurse Program, with a strong focus on “hands on” clinical support.

Support Corryong Health Nurse Unit

Manager to recruit and retain staff through strategic and action planning, monitoring and evaluation of programs and systems as well as resource identification.

This role aims to identify gaps in clinical practice and in collaboration with the Leadership team and develop Professional Improvement Plans with stated staff.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have

Essential:

- Hold current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Professionals Registration Authority with post graduate qualifications/certificates relevant to the position TAE 40110
- Demonstrated understanding, knowledge and commitment to a high standard of nursing care
- Demonstrated competence in clinical teaching and learning in the health care environment using a range of forms including face to face and online learning platforms.
- Demonstrated effective communication & interpersonal skills with problem solving ability, particularly in supporting a diverse group of people to meet their professional development responsibilities




- Demonstrated commitment to professional development with proven high- level leadership, clinical skills and knowledge.
- Significant experience in acute and aged care nursing and a sound knowledge of current aged care standards and the Public Sector Aged Residential Care Quality Indicators and NSQHS.
- Demonstrated understanding of how to access, lead, implement and evaluate evidence based/evidence informed and leading practice for nursing and personal care staff.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and practice in nursing
- Willingness to undertake annual vaccinations, fit testing and employment checks as required by Victorian law and Department of Health guidelines,
- Demonstrate a commitment to the (Victorian Public Sector) VPSC Code of Conduct, Equal Employment Prospect, Work Health & Safety and Cultural Diversity principles.
