Your new role:

As a Clinical Nurse within the Logan Hospital Emergency Department Mental Health Assessment Team, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership to support high-quality, person-centred care for consumers experiencing acute mental health concerns.

Provide advanced assessment, clinical care, problem-solving and care coordination for consumers with complex mental health needs.

Provide clinical leadership, expert advice and support to the multidisciplinary team, including guidance around risk management and the Mental Health Act 2016.

Contribute to education, mentoring, quality improvement, research and clinical practice initiatives that support safe and contemporary mental health care.

Work autonomously while supporting the coordination of the service and contributing to a positive, collaborative and recovery-focused team environment.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced mental health nurse who brings strong clinical expertise, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centred care.

Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary mental health and/or addiction nursing practice.

Strong clinical leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Experience providing comprehensive assessment, care planning, risk management and evidence-based interventions for consumers with complex mental health needs.

A commitment to professional development, education, quality improvement and reflective practice, with a relevant postgraduate qualification or current enrolment highly desirable.
