Your Impact

Launched in the Gold Coast in 2016, Balter has grown into one of Australia’s most iconic award-winning craft beer brands — built on great beer, bold ideas and a genuine enjoyment for what we do. In this role, you will be trusted finance partner to the Balter leadership team. You will help shape business performance through insightful analysis, robust planning and informed decision-making.

Working closely with the Senior Finance Manager and stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Supply, Production and the broader ABV and Asahi stakeholders, you will translate commercial strategies and operational plans into financial outcomes that support both short and long-term growth.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting and demand planning activities, provide strategic commercial insights, and help drive accountability across the business. Through strong partnering and analytical expertise, you will identify opportunities, manage risks and support decisions that enable Balter to deliver on its ambitions, while also contributing to month-end reporting, financial analysis and selected accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive the delivery of Balter’s annual budget, monthly forecasts, demand plans and longer-term financial plans.

- Provide commercial analysis and strategi insights across revenue, pricing, volume, profitability and customer performance.

- Identify risks and opportunities, supporting strategic initiatives, NPD and business cases.





- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply and Production to influence decision-making.

- Deliver performance reporting, financial analysis and actionable recommendations.

- Drive financial accountability and continuous improvement across the business.

About You

- Strong experience in Commercial Finance roles ideally within FMCG, consumer goods or retail.

- CA/CPA qualified, with a degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, demand planning, financial analysis and performance reporting.

- Proven ability to translate data into commercial insights that drive business performance.

- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders across functions.

- Advanced analytical and financial modelling capability, including experience with tools such as Power BI, SAP IBP, NetSuite and Excel.
