Engineering Trades Australia are looking for a skilled electrician with experience across commercial construction and electrical installation projects who is confident working in a fast-paced site environment. The successful candidate will initially be working on a high-rise commercial/residential project in Kangaroo Point, with the opportunity to move across a range of ongoing commercial projects throughout Brisbane.

About the Role

You will be involved across various stages of commercial construction projects, working alongside builders, supervisors and other trades to deliver quality electrical installations.

- $55 - $60/hr Casual Penalties
- Initial high-rise project in Kangaroo Point
- Ongoing commercial projects across Brisbane
- Temp-to-perm opportunity

Your duties may include:
- Electrical installation across commercial construction projects
- Rough-in, fit-off and final installation
- Power and lighting installations
- Switchboards and distribution equipment
- Cable installation and termination
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and plans
- Testing, fault-finding and commissioning
- Working alongside builders, supervisors and other trades
- Maintaining a safe and productive work environment

Following the initial Kangaroo Point high-rise project,



there will be opportunities to work across a variety of commercial projects throughout Brisbane. Occasional travel for regional or interstate projects may also be required, generally for short periods.

What We're Looking For

- Current QLD Electrical Licence
- Proven commercial construction experience
- Experience working on commercial or high-rise projects
- Strong installation and fit-off skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong safety focus and skilled approach
- Ability to work independently when required

Experience across high-rise, commercial construction, apartments, retail, hospitality or large-scale commercial projects will be highly regarded.

Requirements

- QLD Electrical Licence
- Current CPR & LVR
- Construction White Card
- Current Driver's Licence
- Ability to work across Brisbane commercial projects
- Ability to travel occasionally when required
