ROLE SNAPSHOT

Azure Cloud Engineer responsible for ensuring the availability, scalability, reliability, automation, and security of cloud platforms to enable innovation across the organisation (especially across data & AI).

You'll be involved in the uplift & modernisation of the Azure cloud platform through embedding strong foundations, implementing best practice across the cloud operating model, as well as influencing the direction of the cloud platform moving forward.

Key elements of the role:

- Design, implement and manage available, scalable & reliable Azure infrastructure.
- Build & maintain observability / monitoring solutions for the platform.
- Identify & deliver continual improvement and modernisation of the Azure cloud platform - incl across security, cost-optimisation, performance, architecture etc.
- Automate pipeline deployments through implementing IaC.
- Involvement in Incident / Problem / Change Management.
- Work with various internal teams to deliver cloud solutions that enable business outcomes.

REQUIRED SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / PERSONAL QUALITIES

Suitable for a technical Azure Cloud Engineer with a broad infrastructure skillset and a background uplifting & modernising complex enterprise cloud platforms.





Ideal if you're looking to use your experience and initiative to solve complex technical problems in an environment where you'll be given the autonomy and support to deliver solutions.

The following in required:

- Proven experience building, maintaining, and designing Azure cloud infrastructure within complex enterprise environments.
- Background taking the initiative to proactively uplift cloud environments (reliability, efficiency, performance, FinOps etc)
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Azure infrastructure - compute, storage, networking, security, identity etc.
- Hands-on experience with IaC, CI/CD and automation tools.
- Display a strong automation and continuous improvement mindset.
- Able to confidently work independently with minimal oversight.
- Friendly with good communication and teamwork/collaboration skills.
- A robust sense of ownership/accountability.
- Self-learner who loves solving technical problems.

This is a full-time permanent role located in the Sydney CBD with hybrid working and is offering $140,000 - $150,000 (plus super)
