Walk & Talk — Enjoy the Outdoors with Residents
We’re looking for a friendly Social Volunteer who loves fresh air, gentle movement, and valuable company. This role is all about spending relaxed time outdoors with residents, enjoying the gardens, pathways, and peaceful surroundings.
As you stroll together, you’ll be helping to support residents’ mobility, wellbeing, and confidence — all through light‑paced, social walking. There’s no fitness level required; it’s simply about being present, encouraging, and creating a calm, enjoyable outing.
If you enjoy meaningful conversation, nature, and making someone’s day a little brighter, this is a beautiful way to give back.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the clients you are matched with.
