Tea, Stories and Nearly a Century of Memories
In Pagewood, a warm and welcoming woman is approaching an incredible milestone, her 100th birthday. Originally from Iran, she has lived a rich and fascinating life and enjoys sharing memories, stories, and conversations with those around her.
Fluent in Farsi, Azari, and English, she has a natural gift for connecting with people and loves learning about the lives and experiences of others. Over the years, she has developed many talents and interests, including cooking, sewing, knitting, and gardening, and she takes great pride in the skills and traditions she has carried through her life.
A visit with her might involve chatting over a cup of tea, reminiscing about family and treasured memories, discussing favourite recipes, or even preparing a simple meal together. Her friendly nature and love of conversation make time spent together both enjoyable and meaningful.
For someone who enjoys genuine connection and hearing the stories that come from a life well lived, this is a wonderful opportunity to build a special friendship across generations.

Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
