Safety Management (Engineer) – L3

Location: Campbell Park Offices, Canberra, ACT
Role Description
The position supports Air Force Capability across both strategic and deployed operations and encompasses management of key engineering processes required for the day-to-day management of RAAF warfighter systems.
Indicative Services / Tasks
- Plan and deliver system safety engineering services, regulatory compliance, resource management and project outcomes.
- Coordinate, direct and evaluate system safety activities in a CLC workplace.
- Conduct capability and concept development within the IC3SPO and CAF16 system safety program.
- Conduct system safety analysis, development and V&V.;
- Provide advice and guidance on system safety engineering analysis techniques, processes and software assurance.
- Conduct reviews of contract deliverables.

- Systems safety specifications, plans, procedures and reports.
- Systems safety engineering services.
- Hazard analyses and reports.
- Certification.
- Design documents and specialist engineering reports.
- Plans and reports.
- Systems safety V&V; plans and procedures.
- Contract documentation, plans and reports.
The engineer will also evaluate technical and design packages from a safety perspective, follow CASG and SPO strategic safety direction and exercise assigned Technical Authority delegations.
Qualifications
- Engineers Australia Professional Engineering Stage 2 competencies.
- Four-year engineering degree (AQF Level 7) in a relevant discipline recognised under the Washington Accord.
- Chartered Professional Engineer or equivalent.
- Minimum one year's experience within a materiel system safety program.
