Professional 1 - Remuneration Package Range $86,482 - $110,012
(including salary $73,100 - $93,041)
Professional 2 - Remuneration Package Range $113,101 - $134,507
(including salary $95,697 - $114,104)
Selection will be made at the P1 or P2 level depending on the experience/qualifications of the successful applicant.

Join the Mining Division of the Department of Lands, Planning & Environment in a role delivering specialist technical advice relating to the regulation of environmental (mining) licences under the Northern Territory Workplace Protection Act 2019 (EP Act). Based in Alice Springs or Darwin, this position assists with and supports the assessment of licence applications, licence issue, and related compliance and enforcement activities,including site inspections.
The successful applicant will bring demonstrated capability in analysing and interpreting information from a range of sources, a willingness to work effectively as part of a team including with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and a keen interest in understanding the many environmental issues encountered bythe mining industry.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills suitable for conveying complex technical information in a professional and appropriate manner will be essential. Practical skills including the operation of 4WD vehicles in the field and exposure to the management and manipulation of spatial data in an appropriate GIS software package are also required for the role.
Successful candidates will be based in either the Alice Springs or Darwin office.
